Constant head pump on combi?

Hi all,

The Grundfos 3-speed pump in an old (but still working well) Worcester Heatslave 15/19 oil combi boiler is on its way out. All rads (but one) have TRVs. Current pump is set on max, which is what it needs when supplying all the rads. But the TRVs mean that often only a couple of rads are being supplied at any one time once normal room temps have been reached. Pump is presumably working too hard then.

Can/Should the existing pump be replaced with with a constant-head type like the Grundfos Alpha 1 15-50/60? Is it compatible with that boiler? Any implications for the electrics?

Views on pros/cons very welcome, thanks.
