cooker problem

    had a customer phone me today saying when he switches the oven on the light doesnt go out at all, i said to him id look in to it, has anyone else come across this and if so what did they find, was it the thermostat as it looks to me like this is the only thing it could be..

    Definitely seems like a stuck thermostat etc.

    Suppose you could turn the T Stat to and fro and listen for clicking..might help.

    Once you can see the T Stat everything should be simple to fault find and rectify problem.

    Oh dear.


    But maybe the seals have gone and it won't keep the heat in, so never getting up to temperature.

    are you a sparky or an oven repair man?! I cant see this being a profitable job for you, given the price of new ovens nowadays. If it were me id tell him to ring the manufacturer.
