    Hi

I have lived in my 1930' property for around 3 years. I have noticed cracking in the plaster in a number of areas. Mainly 1 side of the house (south facing) all hairline cracks and according to Google these are usually normal and mainly cosmetic. I have also noticed a couple of bricks on the external wall that have cracked and also the pointing looks cracked. There is a hairline crack behind the radiator that is in the same area as the crack in the external wall is this likely to be related?

Does this look anything to worry about? I have shown trades men and family and they have advised nothing to worry about and usual in an old property. I believe it is clay soil in the area.

Nothing came up on surveyors report that would be a cause for concern.

    Thanks

They look cosmetic to me. Its very common to get cracking around windows and above doors from movement in the building.

Thanks Jim. @Abrickie there is an extension on this side of the property just one storey. And I believe the old cast iron gutter will of been where the cracked stone is. Thanks for all your help!
