    Hey guys!
    Looking for some advice please.
I’ve just stained my new freshly laid deck with Cuprinol urban slate decking stain the anti slip one..the colour is nothing like the tin!lol it’s a nasty almost dark navy blue mid sheen mess!
    Gutted!
I want to change to a nice dark brown...like it always should have been!! I’m not blaming the Mrs! ;)

can I just paint or stain over or do i need to sand down?

I’m looking for a really deep dark brown so feel paint will be better than stain? Not sure..also Looking to do the fence the same colour if possible too ... Is there something I could use for both thats durable and last at least a year or 2 before needing redoing

any recommendations would be a massive help

    cheers guys

Beware though Beautiflex in not an anti slip paint.

Unfortunate now you have already painted it but Oil would have been a much better choice IMO.

Liberon Med Oak would have given you a lovely deep brown on your new wood.

I have used stain before and it just peeled off the wood after a while.

Sure does.....no matter what stain, paint etc ....they do not like adhering to tanalised treated timber, weathered or not!
