I'm sure you would, but then
you aren't like other people, are you?

A more widespread "translation" of "Strikes me as
if the pir is working (for movement)then the switch
    is working
    ", would be

"As the PIR is working (for movement), then the
    switch is working"

but I expect you'll twist, and back-pedal, and try to
wriggle away from what you said, just as you always
    do.

And I expect that your twisting, back-pedalling and
wriggling will be as credible as it always is.

See, you are doing it again.

You have rephrased my sentence and omitted any reference to 'strikes me'. That make your rendition totally obscure.

Here's ONE definition from a dictionary:

Strike - Have an emotional or cognitive impact upon.

Oh, and in case you'd like a bit more clarity.....

Cognitive - The psychological result of perception and learning and reasoning.

    Argue THAT.

    Oh I see.

So it's OK for you to omit any reference to 'strikes me', and rephrase

"Strikes me as if the pir is working (for movement) then the switch is working" as

"The thought entered my head that as if the pir is working (for movement) then the switch is working",

but it's totally obscure when I rephrase it as

"As the PIR is working (for movement), then the switch is working".

    Whatever.

    No point whatsoever.

Henceforth I shall try to confine myself to pointing out new idiocies on your part - I expect that'll keep me busy enough.

But please - feel free to enhance your reputation by continuing to twist and wriggle and back-pedal.

    Bas, don't act so stupid.

What the hell do you think that 'The thought entered my head' was a reference to ?

    Eh ? Eh ?

So you tell me it's ok for me to not reference 'Strikes me', etc etc

when clearly I have replaced the phrase 'strikes me' with a phrase that shows 'strikes me' in a fuller format, and you say I have NOT REFERENCED IT.

Go bury your head. You are shameful.

    A disgrace.
