I’m giving my Zanussi hob its biannual clean.

Can the r/h panel be removed easily and from the top?

What do the 2 screws near the knobs do? Removing them doesn’t seem to make any difference.

Remove the screws around the burners.

I don't know, but I suspect they hold the knob assembly as one unit, from he underside of the panel.

They do hold the panel in place.

Panel must have been stuck down!

Don't use force... just get a bigger hammer!

Some of them won’t undo. Steel screws in alloy.

I also took the slotted head bolts out and they are sods to get back.

I’ve done as much as I want to so will put it all back together, pour another bottle of wine, and start designing the ideal kitchen.
