Hi all, I have installed gabion baskets as a small retaining wall. Other side is soil/turf that now needs to be raised up at one side in particular to make level as the turf was uneven. There is a heavy duty weed membrane all installed behind and under the baskets. What would be the best solution to stop the new turf from growing into the baskets and making them look unsightly long term. Also don't want all the grass clippings being mowed /strimmed into the baskets too. Top of the baskets and turf will be at the same level

My idea was to use decking to build a L profile edging and place on the top back edge and down between the baskets and soil/grass to create a small barrier. Or some sort of similar shaped upvc edging to get to the same result.

On the right path? Or other idea?

Cheers in advance and for making it down to this point
