    Hi all,

took up the old vinyl kitchen flooring but haven’t taken up the lay on top of the floorboards yet.

Is it best to leave this on as we’re getting tiles or take it all up to have the floorboards bare?

I would get it back to the floor boards. You can then ‘tighten’ them back up with some screws before fitting tile backer board.

just to make sure floor boards are tight to the joists, as they have a tendency to become loose over the years. You need to make sure everything is as solid as possible when tiles are going down.
