Hi there, wondering if anyone can help me out here. The house I moved into had a dodgy loft conversion done, the roof of the house is sagging now and I noticed in the centre of the loft was a king post with principle rafter and struts and he’s taken out the principle rafters and struts. Obviously this needs to be sorted but does anyone know how or a cheap(ish) way to do it? Or roughly how long I could be expecting this roof to last before it caves in? Mid terraced house. Reason for being cheap single dad and covid hasn’t been easy.
In this diagram for reference this was basically smack in the middle of the room and as I said he’s removed the principle rafter and the struts so just the king post stands there now and the purlins have no support under them I believe now.
