Does anyone know the name of this fitting/screw? Cotbed...

    Hi

I bought a cotbed from Mothercare back in 2016, which has now been discontinued. I called them and because it was no longer a 'live' product, they can't replace anything...

Stupidly the fella bagged some of the screws up when we moved house and we can't find them (i.e. not attached to the bed or in any box associated with that bedroom! )

I've figured out the names of all the others but this one (highlighted below) I'm just lost. I've trawled through Screwfix, B&Q and Ebay with no joy.

It's like a bracket that sits in the frame and then allows the slatted base to sit atop.

Anyone have any idea what they're called and/or an alternative I can use?
Without having to fashion something from scratch to make do!

    Thanks, Penny.

They are known as cot base brackets.

Had a look at some Mama&Papa ones I have, slightly different shape.

Naff design, the plate version are better, can't find UK stockist for them.

I tried that search to no avail so I'll fashion something up myself.

    Thank you!

It's a shame you can't find them online because as soon as you receive the order confirmation the originals turn up. Works without fail for me...

    Undeniably!
I have ordered the other missing screws, so fingers crossed they turn up this weekend in this 'mystery bag' amongst all the still-packed boxes!

If the worst comes to the worst a couple of 90° angle brackets either side would do the the same job.

Yes, that's what I am going to go with. Thanks x

Could always look for the same cot on ebay. Buy it and just ask the seller to send you the fixings. It will be a lot cheaper than posting the entire cot to you

They're still going for £60+ on Ebay, expensive fixings! ha

I have no idea whether any of their fixings would be compatible, but Ikea keep spare parts at their stores.

Thanks, I found them after the other screws arrived in the post!
