After some advice if anyone knows anything about door intercoms . Just replaced all handsets in my block of flats to some new bell handsets as a lot of them had failed due to being over 30 years old anyway all new ones working now but could do with replacing the old style intercoms system at the entrance to the block , but I’m a little confused on how to do this - managed to find the wiring diagram for old handsets and new handsets so was easy for handsets .

now the the intercom I have is shown here and the new one is also below .

the old one has 1 wire going to each call button , and I’m confused because the new system has 2 screws going on each call button , can anyone help me out ????

Obviously this is just showing one call button.

Great thank you for that , I see so take the common to one screw on each button , and the second screw is then the i of the handset which is the call wire - which is currently wired into existing intercom panel .

    thank you
