Door Lining Sizing (45x95 nominal stud)

Hi, I'm a newbie here and currently trying to find some door linings and feel like I must be missing something...

My stud work is C24 carcassing 47 x 100 (45 x 95 finished) with standard plasterboard and skim each side - leaving me with a 125mm finished wall thickness - yet I can't seem to find any door linings this size - they all seem to be 120mm (for CLS 2x4 which is 89 finished)...am I missing something or do I just need to make my own up from scratch?

Thanks!

No you're not missing anything, it's one of my common annoyances within the building industry. Readily available door linings aren't suited for 4x2 wall construction, you'll have to source a 6" wide lining and rip it down.

Other options:

- rip down some MDF sheet. That way you can make it exact and have plenty of spare. You would need decent circ saw skills or a track saw.

- pack behind the architrave and cover the gap with a thin layer of ply/MDF. Less accuracy required but might need to dust off the caulking gun.

Agree w/ @Jord86 it’s an absolute PITA. Especially on an older refurb with non standard door widths…
