I brought an expandable hole drill from Topps but it is rubbish. I want to drill holes for wall mounted taps, the tiles are Ceramic. Even when cutting with water the Tile glows red hot, and then smashes grrrr. I have tried removing the expanding piece to just drill a small hole I can feed a tile saw through but this is breaking the tiles as well. Do I need a new bit, or can I take the tiles to a Company who specialise in this thing, if so any suggestions - Cambridge area.
Sound more like porcelain tiles. You will do better with a cheap diamond core bit. Try here The 12pc set is the best buy. Jason
i think u definately have porcelain tiles and would suggest spending a little cash on a tiling tool we call the holeboy, it is like a g-clamp and is the dogs!!! for holes.
