Drilling above a window to fit a curtain rail – likely to be steel or concrete?

The building is 1960s and I want to be armed with the correct type of drill bits. So I don’t blunt the wrong ones, I’d like opinions as to the likely type of lintel I 'll be up against.

TIA

Likely to be prestressed concrete or insitu concrete. Catnics came out in 1969.
SDS dill will have no problem, but will divert off line if you hit a reinforcement bar, or even give a jolt.
SDS dill will punch through thin metal lintols such as Catnics eventually anyway, but you will notice the sound.

Thanks for the reply. I have SDS ready together with Dewalt Extreme II SDS drills so hopefully should be OK!
