earth bonding to boiler

    I have my combi in the bathroom , can I bond the bath etch back to a the connection box in the boiler?

    etch should think so, mate. Bond the etch back to the towel rail, the legs of the bath, the bath itself and, the etch...

    what's a 'bath etch' ?

    Have heard of an etching bath!, but not an batch etch:)

    I'm not a spark so not aware of bonding recommendations, but can someone tell me why on the houses that I work on do the sparks bond the bath legs that are attached to a fibre glass bath by means of plastic brackets and also the mains pipe to the toilet which is connected to a plastic ball valve?
    Is it nessecery?

    You can bond back to the boiler CPC

    me neither i didnt think it was required Corgi say its not required but i keep getting told it is
    British gas mark it down as a non-conformance
    only required if fitted in bathroom IMHO 4mm too
    B/Gas require 10mm2 mmmmmmmm is it needed.

    some boiler MFI`s stat the combi boiler must be earthed , if not they refuse to repaie them ,
