again you miss the point. It is not sufficient to engage a competent person to sign the certificate, the person carrying out the inspection must both be competent and qualified. A time served sparks without qualifications covering the current version of the writing regs is not sufficient. Getting an unqualified person to do the inspection and a qualified Person to sign the certificate is not sufficient. It is the landlords responsibility to ensure the inspector is qualified and competent.
