Electric Oven Problems!

Latest Installment on the Oven Saga - just for you Unphased!!!

Seems OK at the mo. Didn't want to risk a roast, so I put a big chicken & mushroom pie in and cooked if for the recommended time. Came out perfect so perhaps it was the pasty afterall!.

I had a peep inside yesterday, and took a few panels off, but it all looked OK. Strange how sometimes it works afterwards when you do nothing but look. My theory is that it just needed the air changing! Be sure that if (when) it goes for a **** again , I'll let you know!

Mrs e. says check the temp. with an oven thermometer.

Apparently most oven controls only give a rough idea of the temp. so they need calibrating for serious cooks. (Which you are not, obviously, but maybe one day...)
 
last point was a good 1, but sounds like it may be resolved, id always probe meat anyway, pro cook or not a cook LOL, just to b sure ;)
