Hi all, has anyone installed Esi’s on mains eco compact 25 combi?

I’ve installed the Esi on to the boiler. It is a new boiler.
After pairing both the thermostat to the receiver and turning the thermostat up on. Flame sign comes on the thermostat but the heating on the boiler doesn’t fire up.

Any reason why it isn’t working?

*** on the boiler pcb. I removed the link from terminal 1 and 2.

then I wired
Live to Live,
neutral to neutral
earth to earth
(Switch live black on to the terminal 2 on the boiler (which comes as black).

on the receiver the wiring is
earth to earth
neutral to neutral
Live to live then link from live to port 1
Switch live(black) to port 2.

Please heeelppp as I just don’t understand why it isn’t working!!!!!
Thank you all

I've fitted a few esrtp4rf to boilers where there was just a volt free thermostat in place and one or two I've set up to use open therm, these are usually pretty reliable. your wiring seems correct, and your seeing the flame icon on the display to indicate its calling for heat.

Try the manual button on the receiver, do the buttons light up, one is red and one is green ? do you hear the relay clicking ? if not then recheck the wiring again.

I’ve pressed the buttons and they both light up. Green and red.
When turning the thermostat up and flame Icon displays
I can hear the click but boiler doesn’t respond.
Just thinking is there any wire that goes into terminal 1 on the boiler from the receiver

Looks like it should go to terminal 1 as terminal 2 is live out not return (switched). So you could have used terminal 2 from boiler to your common (terminal 1) on Esi.

So my switch live from receiver should go to terminal 1 on boiler?
and terminal 2 stays blank?

I’ve added the boiler manual

thank you so
From my receiver Switch live (port 2) goes to b1 on boiler terminal

and live from receiver goes to live on boiler terminal
and like wise with neutral from receiver goes to neutral on boiler terminal?

Yep as per my diagram, then you will have the boiler working and lots of hot water so you can wash that pile of dishes that's piled up.....:)

Thanks guys
I’m going to do it today!

If it helps you understand this a little better, what you are doing is replacing the link on the boiler b1 bk2 with a set of contacts in the receiver, now instead of a short or link, you have a relay that makes that link on demand.

Just pay attention to the wires, only strip enough to fit into the terminals and sleeve the earth / CPC, keep it neat as possible.
