Looking for a cost guide for rendering a new house extension (blockwork). The area covers approximately 70 m2 (approx 3 sixths at ground level, 2 sixths at 1st floor and 1 sixth on a gable end).

Scaffold will be in place from the walls / roof.

The walls should be up by early September so trying to get some quotes in for comparison.

    Thanks all,

    Matt

been quoted £600 for 50sq.m recently, which I have to admit does seem a very keen price!

    Hi Jimbo,

I've had a very rough estimate of £2k. I am based in the Midlands (South east of Birmingham). If I could get the work done for £600 I would be laughing.

2k!!! wow DIY!!! I would be expecting to pay that for someone to rake out and repoint not a render.

A tenner a square metre (labour only) is what i usually pay - but there again i build houses for a living so i am a good client for a plasterer to have!
