Hi, my son has started his apprenticeship, he needs some work pants. Any idea who make the longest? He's about 6'4", 34" waist inside leg 36".

If no joy he will have to wear shorts all year!

I've always worn M&S navy blue chinos, have many pairs in various states! - they take a pounding and brush off easily.

Does anyone know of decent to wear pants, most that I try I sweat my ******** off in them, they are like wearing bin bags on each leg.

The only ones I've found comfy lately are the Aldi ones with the elasticated waist but they have changed the design recently and the last pair I got went straight in the bin.

    Haha, trousers!

  10. Just get him some chinos or a pair of decent jeans.

There is no need for all the designer workwear that is about. You see them strutting about and posing in their designer gear, as if they were on the catwalk rather than going to do manual work on a building site.

I’m 6’ 4” and gave up trying to find work trousers, but as mentioned Snickers do a pair 34” waist 35” inside leg that fit me fine. (I buy 34” 36” jeans so I was sceptical)
They are expensive, but I’m sure your son already pays through the nose to get trousers anyway so this is just another PITA to deal with...
And of course if you buy from Screwfix and they don’t fit you can easily take them back.
Definitely worth a try in my opinion...

I found jeans very uncomfortable for work, and lack of pockets is another thing, there are plenty of budget work trousers with knee pads etc

  16. I find jeans very comfortable to work in and would not feel comfortable in the trousers with all the pockets, which they call work trousers.
I am talking about regular fit jeans, not silly skinny fit things.
