I've installed a new kitchen canopy extractor which says it needs to be hardwired to a 5amp spur.
Is there any reason I can just stick a 5amp plug on instead? Only there's already a socket from the last extractor so it would be far easier. (for info, the socket is connected to a grid switch, so it has an accessible isolator)
Is there a reason I can't just put a plug on this?

Put your plug on, it’s ok:)
