Hi I am looking for this extractor fan for my kitchen: https://www.superlecdirect.com/p-icon60-airflow-icon-60-ventilation-6-150mm-fan-72591701/ There are also these modules you can buy for it: https://www.superlecdirect.com/search/?search=airflow+module I was thinking that ideally, we would have a humidity sensor so we don't have to remember to turn the fan on and off. What I don't understand is that the humidity modules all seem to be combined with something else, e.g. a motion detector / pull cord / timer. Isn't the point of the humidity sensor that the fan is always "on" but only starts extracting when it detects humidity above a certain %? So why would anything else be needed? Also, I wouldn't really want a pull cord hanging down - in that case would I need an isolation switch on the wall somewhere?
Nice fans, those! Humidity sensors, in my experience, have always been a hit and miss and unreliable way if ventilation. For a kitchen, just a straight fan, with no timer, but just a switch, is all you need. The switch can, of course, be located anywhere.
