Fibre material that lasts 30 years plus outside

    Thanks for that handyandy. Unfortunately anything with a metal core upsets the resonance of the actual antenna. - Otherwise I would be using 16 guage stainless steel wire!

    Yes - the sheathing makes no difference. To the antenna (which is often a sheathed wire anyway) it looks like an extra length of itself if you see what I mean. The wire part of the antenna has to be an exact length to transmit properly on the required frequency.
