Fire boarding vertical Column?

Hey everyone I’ve had builders install 3 beams in my house. A vertical column then an I beam resting on the column one end and resting in the webbing of a big I beam the other. The council have come and signed it off and said in passing to fireproof the beams which is fairly straight forward. But will I need to fire proof the vertical colum?
One of the I beams is running parallel within the ceiling joists so I take it when boarding the ceiling I’ll just have to do a strip of fireboard? Any help will be great before jumping on this.

Normal 12.5 plasterboard will provide enough fire resistance. Alternatively you could look at intumescent pain. Have a chat with BCO about what he'll accept.
