My poor dog is terrified.... (They've gone off tonight) Why can't we have displays only like Australia..?
Well, I thought it was law now, that fireworks could only be let off on bonfire night(by the general public), or on dates specially requested for licensed displays. Mr. HandyAndy - really

If our neighbours dog is too terrified to drive us mad by constant barking, the more noisy fireworks the better. The law regarding fireworks is just one of many that no one bothers to enforce, like parking the wrong way round after dark.
Well, I thought it was law now, that fireworks could only be let off on bonfire night(by the general public), or on dates specially requested for licensed displays. Just had a quick lookee, and I see that they are allowed up to 11pm, but cannot(or should not) be sold by unlicensed traders to the general public until 15 October, and not to anyone under 18. Licensed traders should not sell to the general public except within specified dates around bonfire night, new year etc. Mr. HandyAndy - really
*. Not all dogs are frightened by fireworks. When I was a kid out dog got very excited by them, running after the roman candles, barking 2 inches away from a banger. In those days, bangers had a bang, not a puff like now. [Edited by: admin5]
> My poor dog is terrified.... let the people down the local Chinese takeaway look after him I'm sure your dog wont be afraid much longer
Licensed traders should not sell to the general public except within specified dates around bonfire night, new year etc. Mr. HandyAndy - really Traders do not require a licence to sell Fireworks within specified dates around bonfire night, new year etc. Traders do require a licence to sell Fireworks to the public all year round.
