    Hi everyone (again),

I need to fit two new light fittings to an artex ceiling (confirmed asbestos) and really don't want to drill.

Is there any other viable alternative? Strong adhesive pads, for example?

    Thank you in advance!

am an expert been doing it for years get a ticket every 5 yrs
you should never drill with a power tool
    shaving foam can blow off
putty is the approved method drill by hand
or pay someone to do that cos thats what they will do

Just put a screw through. No need to drill its plasterboard. Why do people think they're need to drill? I put 1000s of screws through plasterboard and never drill first. A bit of bluetac and put screw through if you are parinoid. Leave the bluetac stuck there

Or a blob of silicone/mastic and go through that I guess will work too.
