Hi, We’re looking to move our downstairs cloakroom to create an open plan kitchen diner where the current cloakroom and utility room are. We have an existing soil stack not far from where we want the new toilet (2m max) that runs into a large void beneath the floor. Would the best option be to run a length of 110mm pipe along the underside of the joists into a tee in the current vertical pipe (we’d have to fit the tee of course)? We’ve thought about joining on the horizontal part of the existing pipe as it runs along the base of the void but into the vertical seems like the most direct route. We only have about 800mm - 900mm of pipe though before it curves to horizontal, would adding a tee that close to the bend cause any issues? Not sure why it seems to have rotated the images but the brown pipe is meant to be vertical
Hi Looks like ideal place to get new wc connected to drains, support new pipe well, allow around 25mm per m run, fall. good luck Peter
Thanks! Would there be any problems with having an elbow out the back of the toilet to take the pipe under the floor and another elbow to bring it back to ‘horizontal’ (with the fall) under the joists into the stack?
Hi No problem, is very important to make sure it’s well supported, , It’s also an idea to get the bent pan connector with a boss to take the basin waste,
You could also consider using a 110mm tee junction below floor solely for the basin waste if that is possible. Run it below floor to near below where basin will be if possible.
