Hi all, I have a sound proofed room at home and I am trying to find a suitble fixing through the 60mm sound proofed plasterboard into the brickwork behind it. It's for a tv bracket so don't want to use Grippit's as the holes are too close together. I'd like to use something like a corefix fixing but they are not suitable for a 60mm span. Does anyone have any clever ways on doing this? Thanks in advance.
Cut a square out, drill and fix two layers of 18mm ply, cut the back of the insulation by 40mm then refit the plasterboard over the top. Fix bracket. This advice is to get a secure fixing point, not to preserve the soundproofing qualities of the wall.
