Flexi Tail

Hi

My dad and I installed a new kitchen tap from Screwfix today. We have an awkward cold water pipe location under the sink that causes the tail to bend due to the basin being in the way. Will an almost 90 degree angle in the tail cause problems later on? It was kinked further up initially and we weren't getting any cold water, will this have weakened the tail in any way?
I'm nervous as we've never done this before and scared of flooding!
Any advice much appreciated

I don't agree ,a sharp bend like that may well cause premature failure . I have been called to quite a few flexi hose failures where the inner tube has split.
Fit a 90degree compression elbow to the pipework ,to create a soft curve on the flexi. Not worth taking the risk further down the line to leave it like it is.

Thanks, would this be a quick fix for a plumber? Guessing new flexi hose will be required now I've bent this one?

It looks like the hose is twisted slightly. This is causing the hose to form that bend.
Remove the hose and try refitting with a more subtle curve.
Try this before fitting a bend.

Thank you for all your help.
Re reading the instructions of the tap it looks like we need to install non return valves too, hope this is easy enough also?

Non return valve prevents hot water from possibly mixing with your drinking water. If tap manufacturers installation instructions specify them ,fit them.
