So that makes it alright then in your book? The burgulars must have slipped and impacted the pensioner accidentally then eh? To bad the poor ole pensioner was just in the wrong place at the wrong time eh?This was reported in the Daily Mail, well known scaremongers, and the actual article says that "In effect" he was beaten to death without saying what had really happened.
Source? There are 47,000 people in prison in Saudi!
47k in prison is a much more believable stat than 220 offences a year.
Ya probably find that 45,000 of them ain't done nuffin!
Mr. HandyAndy - Really
Nearly 90,000 in Uk jails. Soon be a lot less if gove gets his way.
C'mon, Ry. Seriously, man. Have a sense of perspective.
You cite the heinous beating to death of that poor old guy, which was indeed a genuinely redundant act. But, why is it sooo in the news? Precisely because it's so uncommon. So unusual. So rare.
Please don't try and base any argument on such a carefully-chosen incident, regardless of how hellish it may have been.
Back in your civilised SA, however, we have around 100 public beheading per year...![]()

Citing prison population rates for the kingdom is irrelevant.Untrue
