In our front room we have void if about 3ft with a wooden floor over the top......
The front room is wool underlayed and carpeted over.
We have noticed recently that with the colder weather the temp in the front room drops dramatically over night and the temp drops aswell after the heating as been on...
Apart from ripping up the floor boards then running battens told hold any insulation is there anything other we can try and the floorboard removal is a bit drastic..

Im thinking of laying those green fibre boards used for laying laminate over the top as they have a insulation A+++ rating.
Then lay over the top the woollen underlay which we tack down and the gripper rods followed by the carpet.......

    Anybody any thoughts and ideas.....
