Hi, i'm interested in these vans. Do you know main problems with these vans with this type of engine? How do you think this is good purchase or not?

Engine ok, no real problems if regularly serviced.

Make sure clutch is new or at least less than 20000 miles, New one with dual mass flywheel is 1000+ fitted, there are solid flywheel conversion kit available for less money.

Floor rots under the seats and is an MOT fail, wheel arches rot too.

How old, how many miles ???

A modern clutch will last well in excess of 100000 miles (possibly even 200000) so i dunno at what point 20k miles becomes relevant.

Apart from that, a full new LUK
kit (which is OEM i think) including DM flywheel
can be had for under £400. The mechanic I go to charges £120 to fit a clutch.

i had 1 of these a 57 plate for 18 months it was as i expected but heavy on fuel compared to my previous van a vivaro which was better to drive but they have gearbox issues
most vans have there pros and cons when buying 2nd hand it depends on your luck but get a mechanic if you know any to check it out
