Can anyone recommend a decent solution to waterproofing a gable end that is exposed to driving rain. It's an old victorian back-to-back and doesn't have a cavity wall. The entire inside of house down that gable end was full of black mould and rotten has been unoccupied for 6-8 months and I am assuming it's damp from outside not condensation because of the size of the problem inside. All help gratefully received.Thompson's waterseal seems to get a mixed reaction as far as i can search on here.
p.s. quite a few bricks on the gable end have lost the glazed face making them extra porous i would think.

Hung tile cladding is nice & decorative and will keep the weather out.
