I'm building a lean-to garage extension and wondering about lapping the DPC on the internal leaf.
External leaf DPC will match the existing house DPC level. The finished floor level of the garage is -180mm below the external DPC level. See sketch attached.
What is the best option for DPC on internal wall?
1) Have the internal DPC at the same level and overlap the DPM (so 180mm of the DPM will show at the bottom of the garage wall)?
2) Just cut the DPM at finish floor level and keep DPC on internal leaf the same level as external? So there would be no overlap between the DPM/DPC on internal leaf
3) Have internal DPC at finished floor level height and overlap. This will mean the DPC will be different levels on internal and external leafs.
