Any Glow-worm condensing combi specialists out there? If so, here's the symtoms of a 3 year old pefectly working until now boiler:

A cycling on/off fan with a flashing green pressure light and normal pressure displayed in time with the cycling. Unit turned off and back on... symtoms repeat immediately but including F12 displayed (user interface to pcb connection fault) unit turned off and back on... display and timer display (optional digital timer/programmer fitted) both blank and unit appears completely dead.

    Fault finding:
    Mains supply present.
Mains supply to main pcb present.
Mains supply to controls interface pcb present.
On-board fuse on main pcb intact.
Connections checked (user interface pcb to J13 on main pcb)

As the fan was cycling it would suggest that it is likely to be a pcb issue, especially as both the main display and timer display are now dead. However it could be one of three pcbs really... controls interface/user interface or main. However, as the timer/programmer is connected to the controls interface and the controls interface is then connected to the main board, it would suggest that the problem is with one of these two. Can anyone suggest any further fault finding that could point to one or the other, or indeed if I'm way off track.

    Many thanks in advance guys.

have you checked the PCB onboard fuses ???
if ok I would agree with you that it is PCB fault

Thanks for your reply MH, yep 4th on my list above... it's intact so expect it's the main pcb. From what I can see the pcb has undergone revision over the years although I don't know what they have changed as it looks identical at a glance.

Main pcb changed (£182) and system up and running fault free. Fan speed inline with system call for heat. Happy days!

    glow-worm boilers are ok
But they do seem to have problems with their pcb's
a few over the years and recalls. Had big problems with the micron a few years backs (and the ultimate). Not to expensive for yours but still only worth about half that LOL. fingers crossed the other 1 don't go (think there is 2 on that boiler aint there ?)
