    No, not Michael Owen! But, Owen Hargreaves as he attempts to make his long-awaited comeback, after the pain and frustrating setbacks of his 'recent' surgery.....

    No, Owen wasn't selected today. His surgeon said that he was fully fit, but his manager, Sir Alex, said he wasn't...

    Perhaps he needs a few run-outs with the reserves to prove himself? I wonder what these long-term 'injured' players do with themselves during these spells of inactivity. I'm sure that their clubs 'look after' them when they go lame - but most of them, Hargreaves particularly, can't wait to get back into action.

    I wish that I had a Fairy Godmother to look after me when I have trouble with my knees, my back, my tennis elbow etc!
