Half lap joint?

Thanks, the truss rod will be exactly the same as a normal truss rod but in 2 pieces.
One end of the truss rod will be fixed ( as in a normal guitar neck) with a long connecter nut welded on. Then the other piece of guitar neck will have a removable piece of truss rod which once both parts are joined together will simply tighten into the other fixed piece, oh and a large washer at the end to tighten against
So basically it will have a truss rod but it screws apart in the middle

Absolutely no expert but resonance will never be the same in two bits off wood end grain to end grain as each time assembled different fibres will be in contact and transfer will depend on consistency i would go as far as to say it hasn't been done before ------- or it probably has but has been so embarrassing and bad they have kept quiet
off course i could be very wrong but unless you are prepared to junk the instrument dont do it perhaps try a disposable alternative instrument to try the theory ????
