Nothing to be sorry about...respect you for putting it out there. There is no hurdle that can't be overcome.
You know deep inside what's 'right' for you and ultimately everyone else, even if it goes against the grain...

 

Either try to work at getting your marriage back together and I have seen loads of them recover from infidelity or look upon this as a challenge and get on with your new life.
Good luck with whichever option you choose.

Things are never one persons failings. It always takes two.
Your marriage was failing so you had an affair, why was it failing. I am sure it was not all down to you. People grow apart.
Don't beat yourself up, look at a way forward, if you can't salvage your marriage walk away.
Think of all the good things you did in those 30 years.
Life is hard and sometimes unfair, be good to yourself, eat well, exercise, get plenty of sleep, keep your sense of humour that I have seen on here, stop putting yourself down.
