Have we got thought police? or modern equivalent, car using extra power 11:45?

Jaguar XE, not used due to lock down, so battery put on charge with a Lidi smart charger and an Energenie energy monitor connected to my PC.

The charger will swap to 0.8 amp charge rate if battery below 12.8 volt and back to 0.1 charge rate if voltage exceeds 14.4 volt, so would expect a nearly straight line graph with the odd bleep when it swaps to 0.8 amp charge rate.

However this bleep is same time every day, 11:40 to 11:45 each day the charger increases charge rate, why the same time every day? Seems likely some thing switches on.

But what knows the time? What can switch on every day at the same time? The only thing I can think of is there is a Sim built into the car, so it can for example be started with the phone app before required so cab warm when we drive off, and there is an emergency assistance button.

So is the car sending information to Jaguar at 11:40 every day to see what we are doing?

If not, why same time every day?

The whole car knows the time. Each control module is connected using a CANBUS. It’s possible that it’s just the cars control modules just wake from sleep, do a little daily check in and then go back to sleep.

After 14 days on charge, at long last charger has switched off, it did switch on again around midday, but tomorrow it is move the chargers and extension leads to other cars at back of house, life will be so much easier once we start using them again.
