Help needed to work out what all these BT cables do

    It was based on the fire risk from the cable, it would spread via the cable through rooms. No sure if it still applies

    I was chatting an an alarm engineer at work about this. He used a special silicone type stuff that was fire resistant where the cable passed through walls.

    Yep, that would make no difference to the cable. It would still travel through the cable regardless of is wrapped around it. Anyway, hopefully you have the answer you need for your question.

    2 IS a master - it has the required OOS resistor, ring capacitor and spark gap/suppressor/arrestor. And LJ2/1A has always been a master.
