Help needed with 5.5m decking base/bearers!

Hi there

I hope someone here can help me. I'm currently building a deck in my garden that is 5.5m x 2.5m. In terms of the frame, would a 6x2 (150mmx50mm) piece of timber be adequate....or less? I'll be using adjustable risers every 40cm or so, so it will be very well supported underneath. It's at ground level and I didn't want to go too much higher and have to remove even more soil than I already have as my back is killing from the weekend!

Thanks in advance :)

Supports at 400 centres in each direction, about 100??. If that's the case matchsticks would suffice. I must be reading this wrong??? Sketch of proposals would help

Thanks Severntrent. Its just for the outside perimeter of the frame I wanted to check what dimensions I need for the beams. I'll have Jouplast supports/risers running beneath (approx 10 along the 5.5m beam). I just want to check that a single 5.5m beam of 150x50 will be suitable to use, I assume so given the amount of support, I just don't want to go ahead without the input of someone more experienced as this is my first attempt at any DIY beyond putting up pictures! Sorry if the answer seems obvious, I'm just a layman wanting some reassurance
