    Hi guys,

I'm just trying to change the lights in my flat and I've come across a little problem.

The original light has a lot more slots for cables whereas the new one only has three and an extra little separate connector. It's fine for some lights that aren't on a loop but for the others I'm not sure how to wire them up. Can I just put two lives into one slot and two neutrals into one as well, or do I need to wire it differently than that?

    Thanks,
    Jonny

    NO!

Unless you want a big BANG and the resultiung mess.

Do you have a picture from before you disconnected them? Did one have a sleeve? Is it a single light off one switch?

Thanks for the quick reply Mike, I've attached an image of how it was wired before.

Its one switch that turns on two lights

Put the two browns in L the two blues in N and the green and yellow in the middle with the earth sign.
