   I am just moving into my first house and was wondering if any body could give me advice on how many pir, contacts, etc I would need. There are Two windows in the living room, one each end. Two in the master bedroom, one in the guest bed, one in the bathroom and the kitchen. Am currently looking at yale alarm, but what one would you suggest?

   1 PIR per room downstairs on back walls facing the windows, maybe 1 on landing?
   
   And a door contact on the doors
   
   That my usual basic setup advice
   
   I like texecom gear, easy to fit and program.

   Oh i recommend door contacts/shock sensors on windows above porches etc, where its easy to climb upto.
