    Property needs a tidying..

I want to change the whole door frame, but have never done this with a 'borrowed light' frame (Please view attached picture for an idea of what i'm dealing with)

Is this an easy job? I'm guessing I would knock the whole thing out then create a stud at the top where the window was, plaster board over.. then add the new door frame. I don't want to just cover the window up or plaster over it, the whole frame needs replacing.

Is this as easy job as it sounds?

Any help/advise would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

It "could be" quite easy Normally the best thing is to prise off the architrave and then cut the horizontal timber. The pry off one side, to wards the centre of the opening, if it doesn't come out easily you may have to cut the frame horizonatly as well

Not a good start, not only a frame to cut down - but a number of posts :D
