    Evening all,

    First post so go easy,

started peeling back an internal stud wall tonight (room Leigh ally a kitchen diner but at some stage a stud wall was put up to create a downstairs shower room and kitchen relocated).
The stud work is 75x75mm timber - is this is a standard sizing ? If not why may this have been used?

    Please see attached picture.

It could be providing support to upstairs, could have been designed as a buttress wall then changed their mind and left the OSB off, could have been built in prep to take the weight of big tiles, might have larger pipes running through and needed the strength in the remaining timber, could even have been timber they had left over and just used up.
