Hi folks. New to the forum and looking for some advice. We have a 5 burner gas hob (Fagor brand) in what appears to be a very small cut out of 575mm x 490mm inset in a quartz worktop.

We would like to swap it for a five plate ceramic hob but all the cut outs seem to be significantly bigger 600mm+.

Doe anyone know if its possible to find what we need or are we doomed to have a 4 plate or keep what we've got?

    Thanks in advance

Looking at Bosch they do 600mm hobs with 4 plates.

Thanks but we really want a 5 plate if we can find one.

    A 5 plate within a 600mm size, you'll be lucky.

You won't find a 5 ring ceramic hob from any manufacturer that will fit in your current hob cutout, even from Fagor. Most gas hobs do have a 580mm x 490mm cut out size, as do most 600mm ceramic/induction hobs.
A 5 ring ceramic or induction hob though will be at least 700mm wide, but more likely 900mm wide with a cutout width of 680mm to 880mm.
If you really want a 5 ring ceramic/induction hob, you will have to hire a Quartz fitter to make the cutout wider.

If you are proper cook, stick with gas!
