I have a slightly sloping front garden. I want to make it more low maintenance as the grass and weeds grow like wildfire and I don't have the time to keep de-weeding etc. I wanted to use weed membrane and gravel with possibly sleeper rails to stop the gravel moving down into and through the hedge bottom (see photos). However I'm not sure how to stop the gravel moving onto the footpath and which method to use to keep the gravel in place. What would be best to do that. Also if anyone can give me some tips on which materials to use also ie. gravel, membrane, rails etc. I will reduce the size of the bushes and thin them out at the base which will give me the room to lay fabric around them. Look forward to hearing from people with better knowledge and experience than me so thanks in advance.
