How dare you ......

How do you answer a hypothetical question ? With a hypothetical answer I suppose ? Because that's all my answer could possibly be. I have no experience of living in the USA.

That's just a ridiculous stance to take.

So presumably according to your rationale you can only offer opinions on topics that you have direct personal participatory experience of?

So when exactly did you decide to renounce Islam? Or leave the travelling community? Or indeed get on a migrant boat and row across the Mediterranean?

Would have been a lot simpler to just say "Yes I would have voted Trump"

Altar your post to effected your life in some way and then all 3 of your examples have effected every single person in the UK.

Project Trump voter.

And Le Pen.

And Orbán.

And Mogg if you had the chance.
Crikey, DA's now including France and Hungary in his " hypothetical " list of countries he thinks I can vote in. Wow,,, how sad

Anyhoo, Willy - you thoroughly decent cove, you - I'll give you an answer even tho' your post cannot possibly be aimed at me since I have not claimed such a thing.

Why did your wife vote the way she did? I have no reason to imagine it was for any other reason that what she claims.

In which case I do have to ask, does she not listen to the overwhelming percentage of experts who suggest that it is precisely our children and their children (as well as the least well off) who will most suffer if this Brexit decision goes ahead? And even more so if it were a Hard one?

She may well be the least-selfish person you have ever met - I will happily take your word for that because you always come across as fair and honest - but such a drastic decision needs more than intended selflessness I would suggest; it needs balanced honest impartial information and the best evidence available.

I just think your lovely lady made a major error, Willy, one that - if it comes to pass - she may well spend many many days apologising to her offspring for. That will hurt her big time as it will almost certainly be the exact opposite outcome to what she intended.
She might have got it wrong DA, she might not. The point I'm making is that despite broad insinuation she and millions of other people voted without being racist, selfish or many of the other things levelled at them - they voted on what they thought was best.

It was a ridiculous question / statement to make in the first instance. DA reckons if I lived in the USA , I'd automatically vote for Trump, yet never considers that if I had been brought up in the US, my life would/ could have been completely different. He automatically assumes my life would have been exactly the same.
You obfuscate matters by bringing Islam and migrant boats in the Mediterranean into the thread. What bearing does this have on Brexit ?

Sorry for interruption , have i got the right site , should be screwfix community , you know , the place to sort out nuts and loose screws

That doesn’t seem to be a link.
Here’s the link.
https://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:31994R2257:EN:HTML

Could you give me the paragraph number that bans them? It seems to be listing the characteristics of each class to me. I can see that you can’t have more than 10% being less than 14cm.

Also, 1994?! Have you referenced all other europa docs since then to verify your “still” claim?

And I have never said otherwise, Willy. So I presume this thread was not aimed at me? Cool.

I have always said that not all Leavers are racist or anything else like that, but virtually all racists are Leavers; ie there is a correlation. From my experience in 'real' life, from hellish posts on various on-line media and - definitely - from the spewings of the usual suspects on here (not every Leaver on here is a u-s; some are normal) I can only conclude that very many - the majority - are various degrees of racist, bigoted, xenophobic, jingoistic and very very dishonest about it too.

Witness JJ's current swerves for a start. And IIR's coat-tail hanging.

Sorry, Willy - I do think some of the participants on this forum are utterly appalling people. I make no apology for pointing it out.

Any thoughts on Deleted member 11267's use of the term 'excrement' in reference to all immigrants? If not, why not?

My comments are not aimed at decent folk like your wife; they are very much directed at those who have justified it.

Jeezus! You’ve pulled me into this poisonous web again.

Can’t we just all acknowledge that the op was right, apologise and stop this?

Sorry Willie. I agree with your post. End.

Obviously this is getting a little too complicated for you.

I was simply pointing out that your "inability" to comment on who your horse is in US politics as you aren't a voter is just a dodge. Pure and simple.

I am assuming your were 100% Obama and now have shifted to Bernie Sanders?

I have absolutely zero interest in American politics GB. No dodge at all. Perhaps you're interested in Nepalese politics or the effect of South African politics on the Indo Chinese market. See I'm assuming now. Not complicated at all GB. What effect does Trump have on our relationship with the EU ? Why does it interest you and DA so, so much ? Has the U.K. become a dangerous place since the US election result ?
No, not at all.
