    HI,

I can not for the life of me locate the drain valve for my F&E system. I have looked everywhere downstairs inside and out. It looks like I will need to remove a radiator to drain the system.

Is there such a coupling for attaching a hosepipe to the male thread (½ bps) on the TRV. a hose to TRV attachment?

    Cheers

Use a nut and olive to attach a drain cock. A hose will push on to the drain cock spigot.

Was just about to say much the same. Shut off a lockshield on the chosen rad. Relieve the pressure in the system and then screw a stop end onto the pipe feeding the lockshield, after disconnecting it of course! You can then just push a pipe of suitable dia over the free end of the lockshield valve (hose clip maybe to keep in place), open the valve and drain.
