Im refurbing a small 2 bed bungalow and am ready to install new stud walls this week and insulation. I haven't yet called an electrician. I need one to do a new ring main for 10 sockets inc kit, and all other standard switches, standard light fittings etc. All this is to be wired to a new consumer unit which he will also need to fit. Poss 2 outside lights.
All walls are exposed and available to work on.

Im anticipating one day for him to do the wire runs and then one day after ive boarded for him to come back and fix the sockets and covers etc and sign it off for BC.

Does this sound about right or am i missing something.

Anyone know of anyone whos available Bushey, Herts area?

I think your thinking is a tadge optimistic if your expecting a full rewire including Test & Cert to be wacked off in 2 days flat! :O

Pricewise you'll be looking at £2.5K plus

No probs 24hrs day no breaks should cover it.
3-4 days more like depends on work involved in getting cables from A - B.
Need Ant to cables through roof joists

As sine says, this is walk the trade call a rewire. timewise you should be more worried about when a spark could start, 3-6 weeks.

All the ext walls are studded out and insulated and all int stud likewise. |Therefore all int and ext wall are open and accessible. Its a bungalow 6.5 x 7.1m

Are you thinking its still more than that?

I will be there to assist to speed things up if it helps.

I agree the prob may be getting someone in so soon, but i thought it could be an ideal stop gap between jobs for someone.

hi

leave me a key n kettle and ill do it in 2 days....will still cost ya 2.5k though.

dUMb'

Or get a better job done by a foreigner, who will work right thru'.

Most of the sparks I know take that lomg to unload their tools, pop out for a sandwich, bit of earth sleeving etc,etc..
